Welcome to the October, 2023 manufacturing activity by MAKE Publishing! We are honored to have you and your family on board. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and equip the next generation to win in manufacturing. The goal of each activity is to show your kids that they can manufacturer too! It’s never too early to get started.

The Clean-Up Challenge

• Age: 4-7 Years

• Ask: What tool can you manufacturer that would help you clean up the toys in your room?

• Materials:

  • Construction Paper

  • Scissors

  • Pipe Cleaners

  • Popsicle Sticks

  • Tape

  • String

• Note for Parents: It is important to let children problem solve and struggle a bit when creating. Keep in mind that the process of the activity is just as important as the product! Ask questions but don’t offer answers. If he or she gets stuck, go back to things they know (broom, shovel, basket) to get them restarted. You can help with execution, but resist the urge to take over!
