Good Morning,
Welcome to the September 2025 newsletter by MAKE Publishing! Please join us in this newsletter as we share some highlights from the month - it’s been a busy one! As always, Our mission is to educate, inspire, and equip the next generation to win in manufacturing. Included in this newsletter you will find each of our pillars; Read, Build, Experience and some highlights from last month. We are honored to have your family onboard, let’s dive in!
READ
Blake Prepares for Manufacturing is officially RELEASED! We will begin an overview of the book in this month’s newsletter and continue monthly until we’ve covered it all. This month, we will start with our built-in instructions on page 9; How to Read This Book.

Blake Prepares for Manufacturing is written in three distinct sections, each with it’s own purpose for learning skills and developing character traits to win in manufacturing.
Stories: 3-5 minute stories that use the experiences of our main character, 11 year old Blake, at and around his Dad’s manufacturing business to teach each skill and character trait.
Activities: Do-it-yourself experiences designed to connect readers to Blake’s experiences from the book into real-life learning.
Glossary: 50 definitions, written at a kid’s level, that define the language of manufacturing. Our goal with this section is to teach these words so your reader can speak like a manufacturer!
BUILD
Last week we joined Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association at the Minnesota Manufactured booth at the State Fair. More than 100,000 people experienced manufacturing that day. Check out the activity they did!

EXPERIENCE
We’d like to give a special shout out to Steve Kalina, Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association, and all volunteers for making the Minnesota Manufactured booth possible. Visitors were able to experience CNC machining, medical device assembly, the automotive industry, STEM, and pick up a variety of manufactured giveaways. For those who missed it - check out the booth below!
