Accountability: A requirement to win in manufacturing
“People will be impressed by your talent, but trust your consistency”
-Craig Groeschel
Good Morning,
Welcome to the March 2026 newsletter by MAKE Publishing! Our mission is to educate, inspire, and equip the next generation to win in manufacturing. This month we are talking about a character trait critical for success; accountability. Included in this newsletter you will find each of our pillars; Read, Build, and Experience applied to accountability. We are honored to have your family onboard, let’s dive in!
READ
This month we continue our summary the character traits described in Blake Prepares For Manufacturing, with a review of Chapter Five; Accountability.
This chapter begins with a situation where Blake failed to be accountable at school. In response to this failure, Blake’s Dad teaches Blake accountability through manufacturing. Blake’s education comes by experiencing a trade show, interacting with the team members responsible for it, and closes with a clear understanding of how accountability can be applied to his life.

BUILD
Building experience in accountability is best done by doing it. For this, we return to Blake Prepares for Manufacturing and ask ourselves; what are you accountable for? We define accountability as the ability to repeatedly do what you say you will. Further, we recognize three primary areas of accountability; to yourself, to others, and to a team.

EXPERIENCE
During February, Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association and MAKE Publishing teamed up to invest, connect, and inspire the next generation of manufacturers with an “I love to read month” program. This initiative allows manufacturers to receive either one of our books COMPLIMENTARY.
Please find instructions for this program here.
By popular request, we have extended this program another two weeks! Don’t miss your chance to make a difference for the future of manufacturing.
